Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The next generation mobile communication system has been studied these days. It is expected to support higher information speed. However, it naturally results in increase of transmit power. If a mobile station can communicate with a base station via another relay station, each station might be able to reduce transmit power. However, if the number of transmitting stations increases, interference may also increase. In this study, the performance of two-hop cellular and conventional DS-CDMA cellular systems are compared in terms of the user capacity and transmit power. From computer simulation results, it is revealed that relay technique can not only reduce transmit power, but also improve the user capacity. |
