Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose an adaptive equalizer in which a nonlinear filter can be adjusted without training signals. It can be expected that the proposed equalizer has better BER performance compared with liner equalizers because of its nonlinear structure. Furthermore, since training signals are not needed, it can be expected that the transmission efficiency becomes better than the equalizers using training signals. We derive an optimal equalizer under a constraint. By computer simulation, bit error rate and transmission efficiency are evaluated, and the validity of a proposal system is shown. Furthermore, In order to improve the performance of the proposed system in linear channels, we proposed an intersymbol interference canceller.
