Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We proposed the SDMA (Space Division Multiple Access) using dual-polarized antennas at both the base station and the terminal station. We also proposed a simplified polarization assignment method for the terminal station by using the spatial correlation (SC) and the difference in the SC. In this paper, by measuring the SC, we clarified the user discrimination characteristics due to the polarization of the terminal station when the terminal moving in an actual cellular environment. Moreover, we evaluated the SINR characteristics applying SDMA by computer simulation using the measured data of the terminal polarization. As a result, it is found that the highest SINR can be obtained the by using dual-polarized antennas at both the base station and the terminal station and assigning the polarization for the terminal station.
