Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to track ordinary target, an algorithm must have a function of maintaining or extending tracks of existing targets(track maintenance). However in order to track splitting target, it must also have a function of making new tentative tracks and confirming them to discover unknown targets which split away from existing target (track establishment). The MHT(Multiple Hypothesis Tracking) is one of good algorithms which satisfy the requirement. We have improved the MHT and named it as Track Oriented MHT. We describe the simulation in which track oriented MHT tracks splitting targets. To reduce false track establishments our algorithm checks the correlation of track with already known target and similarity of velocity between existing track and new track and it calculates their hypotheses using signal to noise ratio of detections.
