As-grown deposition of MgB_2 thin films and fabrication of Josephson junctions

Abstract(in English) As-grown superconducting MgB_2 thin films were prepared using a carrousel-type sputtering system. The film grown at a substrate temperature T_s of 255℃ on C-plane sapphire substrates showed the critical temperatures T_c value of 29K, resistivity of 120μΩcm at 40K and residual resistivity ratio ρ(K)/ρ(40K) of 1.2. The MgB_2 films deposited on A- and C-plane sapphire substrates have a clear C-axis orientation by X-ray diffraction patterns. The surface of the MgB_2 thin films deposited at T_s=255℃ on C-plane sapphire substrates was very flat and smooth from scanning electron microscopy images. We fabricated the Josephson junctions consisting of as-grown MgB_2 thin films, and observed the modulation of critical current by an external magnetic field in the MgB_2/BN(4nm)/Nb junction.
