Multi Camera Stereo Vision based on Phase-Only Correlation Technique

Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new 3D measurement algorithm using passive stereo vision techniques. The key idea is to use Phase-Only Correlation (POC) for disparity estimation. POC is a image registration technique with subpixel accuracy and is useful for high-precision disparity estimation in stereo images. This paper describes a multi-camera stereo vision system with six CCD cameras. Experimental results show that the algorithm can achieve the accuracy of about 1 mm in 3D measurement when the distance between stereo cameras is 7 cm and the distance between the camera pair and the target object is 70 cm.
