Abstract(in English) This paper proposes the tile size transformation method for tiled wavelet transform coefficients. In the wavelet image coding system represented by JPEG2000, it is quite common to divide a picture into one or more tiles and to transform each tile independently. Considering the implementation on the low memory terminal, such as a mobile terminal, it is reasonable to assume that decodable tile sizes of some decoders are restricted. Assuming a system using the restricted decoders, we investigate some methods for transforming the tile size quickly and automatically at the gateway when an image data having non-decodable tile size is received at the gateway from another system. This paper proposes a basic method, which makes a tiled wavelet coefficient sequence from a non-tiled wavelet coefficient sequence that has been generated from a one-dimensional pixel sequence with wavelet transform. This paper also verifies the validity of the proposed scheme by implementing with the 5x3 reversible filter and the 9x7 irreversible filter.
