Abstract(in English) | It is known widely that the face conveys psychological and social messages such as personal attributes. The communicative acts by physiognomic features and by facial expression have some rules to be clarified. The concept of social skills is a useful comprehensive idea to understand interpersonal relationships and social adaptation in relation to interpersonal contexts. The study aimed to clarify the facial expressions of happiness and anger by 3D-measurement system in relation to social skills(ACT, KiSS18) and their gender features. 84 undergraduate students in Korea were served as participants to express emotions (straight, happy, and anger) by their own experiences. Using 32 physiognomic indices, there were obtained that many indices showed significant sex differences supported previous studies. Happy expression evoked facial extension both length-wise and breath-wise direction. On the other hand, facial shrinking was obtained under anger expression condition. The eyes area was larger under straight condition than other two emotion conditions. The components of facial features were considered by PCA. There were obtained 1) facial length and breadth with focal side, 2) upper eyes side, 3) under side(e.g. mouth, chin) under all three conditions. 3D-measurement system should be more accurate equipment than rating method. |
