Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The antenna gain for a mobile terminal, which is used in the S-band land- mobile satellite communication experiments using Engineering Test Satellite-VIII(ETS-VIII), is required to be above 12dBi for high-data-rate transmission of 1Mbps. In this paper, we propose a stairs type antenna, which has a mechanically satellite tracking in azimuth and no tracking in elevation. The antenna is divided to four rows(two front rows for transmit and two rear rows for receive), The antenna has several problems such as beam-direction changes and antenna gain reduction of the rear antenna due to the front antenna. We countermeasures against these problems.
