Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology in recent years becomes a hot topic to develop with the rapid evolution of the Internet and the advancement in voice coding techniques. Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSP) including Telecom carriers has deployed the VoIP services. Unlike voice transmission over the PSTN, VoIP is frequently unreliable and non-deterministic with the current technology. One of consideration points is to provide greater assurance to VoIP service quality. We show the way to satisfy the VoIP service quality in a controlled network environmentwith planned capacity. We propose Connection Admission Control with terminal capability information in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and apply that to several services such as the 3rd party can control.
