Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigated the characteristics of structural variables, which were defined by Yoshimura (2004), and spatio-temporal variables related to traditional Japanese dance through the identifiability of dance types and dancers. The data for investigation were experimentally acquired by a motion capture system, which monitored dancing motions played by a Japanese dancing master followed by two vetran dancers and three beginners, where the dancing motion represented symbolized feminine feelings and the spatio-temporal variable were time series of y coordinate. It revealed that spatio-temporal variables were more advantageous than structural variables for identification of dance types and dancers.
