Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, IP telephony has been widespread and it is thought that a hands-free communication without a receiver for a telephone call is widely used at the real diffusion period. In general, it is felt that speech quality is bad when a conventional telephone band coded speech is used by a hands-free communication. Therefore, a high quality communication by the wideband coded speech will be hoped in the future. When the coded speech quality of IP telephony is evaluated, E-model that estimates the speech quality from various quality degradation factors is used. However, it corresponds only to the telephone band coded speech, and the standardization of objective quality assessment methodologies is needed. Then, authors examined about the equipment impairment factor of wideband codec.
