Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is analytically and numerically shown that an all-optical amplitude limiter based on four-wave mixing effect in a fiber can reduce the nonlinear phase noise (Gordon-Mollenauer effect) in long-distance phase-shift keying transmission. Numerical simulation also shows that the limiters improve the performance of high-speed (at 40 or 80Gb/s) NRZ-DPSK signal transmission.
