Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) AgNi10wt% contacts mounted on electromagnetic relays were tested in a DC42V resistive circuit as make-only contacts and break-only contacts. In this experiment, we measured some electrical data and the growth of a transferred pip on the contacts in each 1,000 operations. As a result, a transferred pip was formed on the cathode and a corresponding crater was formed on the anode. As for the shape of a transferred pip, its height was short and its root had thickened. In this experiment, the sticking did not occur. Moreover, the obvious difference of the shape of pip by the difference of V-I characteristics was not seen.
