Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to futher clarify the decaying process of a large surface potential of as-deposited Alq3 films on a metal electrode by photoirradiation and heating, Kelvin probe method and second harmonic generation (SHG) measurement were employed. SH intensity did not change up to a temperature of 100℃, whereas the surface potential decayed. This result indicates that the disordering of Alq3 molecules was not an origin of the potential decay by heating whereas the electron injection was the main contributor. On the other hand, the potential decay accompanied the disordering of Alq3 molecules by photoirradiation.
