Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the Internet has been widely spread, and the number of its user has remarkably increased. When these users try to communicate with a server, they need to query the server's IP address to some DNS servers. In addition, some protocols like SIP also uses DNS servers to establish calls. From these facts, all DNS servers tend to be used more frequently. However, since DNS servers are implemented on software, their processing speed is limited. This paper discusses an implementation method of DNS servers into an Ethernet communication control board with two FPGAs. In order to increase the response speed, a simple hash function is used to search query name.
