Real Measure : A Real Size Image Displaying System on PC

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new method that supports retrieving the approximated real size of the object in digital images. We use the principle of 3D reconstruction techniques using stereo pair images taken by with known reference object, assuming affine & perspective camera model. And we can obtain the approximated size of object in the image only by specifying the rectangle area around the object. We also report the results of the comparison of calculated and real size of object in the image and show the application of our method to the "Weblog" system.
