Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The local fractal dimension and local contribution ratio can be used as an index to indicate the characteristics or manners of the fluctuation in a given time series. The sliding measurement for local fractal dimension and its applications have been already proposed in the previous papers. In this paper, the change in seawater temperature around Izu peninsula can be selected as an example. LFD analysis and the moving average method have been applied to the difference time series between the altitudinal seawater temperatures. Based on the analytical results, several characteristics in the rainy season can be found out and a prediction method whether summer is hot or cool after the rainy season has been proposed. Also an example is shown using LCR which indicates the "grade of fractality" in the change manner of the original time series.
