Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a large scale three-dimensional-immersive display called IPT installed in the Nagasaki Software Center. This IPT system enables one or more persons to experience the sensation of being completely surrounded by high-resolution, 3D video and audio. It is a room formed from four or five rear-projection screens for walls (2.5metres by 2.5metres) and down-projection screen for the floor. High-resolution (1280×1024) video projectors display computer-generated stereo images. This IPT system is useful for creating virtual environment. When the virtual world can be very reproduced like the real world in the IPT, it becomes possible to scrutinize about human's physiological and psychological behavior. This paper reports the results of the research on physiological, psychological experiments in the IPT.
