Abstract(in English) In this paper, we aim to obtain the diversity gain with operating the interference suppression by applying adaptive array antenna at the base station under a cellular mobile communication environment. Adaptive array antenna with wide element spacing achieves interference suppression as well as space diversity effect. However, in this element space, it is difficult to track a fast fading. In order to solve these problems, the layered non-uniform spaced adaptive array antenna that can obtain the space diversity gain without fast fading degradation has studied. In this system, we operate the interference suppression with narrow element spacing, and after that we operate the diversity combining with wide element spacing. Though the signals among wide element spacing are rapidly fluctuated under fast fading environment, we can obtain diversity gain by inserting short pilot signal frequently. However, in this scheme, the improvement of the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) is reduced if it is used under slow fading environment. In the paper, we consider an adaptive selection of the adaptive algorithm for the layered non-uniform spaced adaptive array antenna. The proposed method selects the algorithm by estimating the fluctuated envelope of the desired signal.
