Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The cognitive radio is recently attracting attention instead of the software defined radio(SDR). When viewing this transition from the viewpoint of a technological subject to be solved, it can be caught with the transition from a countermeasure for "interference from the thirds" to that for "interference to the thirds". The latter has the same aspect as that for "hidden terminal problem". Accordingly, in order to solve radically the problem on "interference to the thirds", the countermeasure that it stepped even into a MAC Layer is necessary. In this paper, a formulation on "interference signals from the thirds" and "interference signals to the thirds" is firstly carried out based on the microwave circuit theory using the scattering matrix. Next, a concept of an ad-hoc cognitive radio is introduced, in which it can share the frequency with current system by cooperating with the operation of MAC layer. Two examples are included concretely. One is a frequency sharing system using an adaptive array antenna that avoids giving the interference to the surrounding terminals by null steering before the transmission of data. Another is a multi-hop system that avoids adaptively giving the interference to the current system.
