Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report describes on design considerations of optical fiber delivery type new television broadcast scheme, which will be required in the nearest future. Even though we use optical fiber, the new broadcast system is different from CATV since it is more global in scale and higher in bit rate. While the wireless system may be preferable to mobiles, home theater needs higher quality that can be supported by the inherent capabilities of fiber communication technology. The consideration starts with a discussion on the trend of social demands to TV broadcast. For example, camera-angle is important subject to discuss here. If we receive full angle (360 degree) information, arbitrary angular part can be selected to display by the receiver. Finally, we propose a new scheme for television broadcast based on the discussions.
