Abstract(in English) | In our coastal area, various vessels including cargo vessels, tankers, ferries, fishing vessels and pleasure boats come and go, which becomes heavy traffic. Especially, a lot of marine accidents involving foreign-flag vessels are occurring in recent years, because foreign-flag vessels which are unfamiliar with local geography, weather, sea conditions and maritime regurations are increasing. MAIA makes an effort to identify causes of these marine accidents and prevent their occurrences. |
