Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To improve a paper-feeding roller, the friction properties between paper and a trial production roller were investigated on the basis of Euler's friction theory. Applying the contact angle of Euler's friction theory, the friction characteristics of rollers with paper feeding hysteresis against paper was examined. The paper-feeding roller produced by the electrodeposition of diamond particles with nickel on the surface of carbon steel roller, its paper feeding characteristics was investigated. Based on this result, the diamond-electrodeposited roller can be expected to be applied broadly to high-performance printing machines.
