Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Transmission frequency shift due to axial stress is investigated for a 4-mm-long fiber Fabry-Perot etalon. It is found that the transmission frequency of the etalon changes linearly depending on the stress applied to it at a rate of 1.5GHz/N. Thus, we confirmed the tunability of a fiber Fably-Perot etalon over a full Free Spectral Range, that is, an arbitrary transmission frequency can be obtained by applying an appropriate stress less than 20N.
