Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The improvement of the performance of electrically poled polymers and the realization of the various applications using them have been intensively studied. The measurement method of the electro-optic coefficients is very important for both studies. We proposed the measurement method using the Mach-Zehnder interferometer. This proposed method has distinctive features about the way to analyze experimental data and to avoid the contribution of multiple reflections to calculated coefficients. The contrivance of the data analyzing process made the calculation easy, and additionally the resistance to the perturbation from experimental condition was improved. The setup to avoid the contribution of multiple reflection decrease the experimental procedures. In our experiments, the thin films of DR1-PMMA sandwiched between Au and ITO electrodes were used. The practicability of the proposed method was confirmed thorough the experimental results.
