Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The polymer photorefractive effect, which can be obtained in organic amorphous materials, can generate a large refractive index modulation in the material due to the orientational enhancement. Here, we proposed and evaluated the DBR-based broad-band band-pass filter that can work in the telecommunication wavelength region. By an estimation of the refractive index, absorption and the photo-refractive index change of a typical photrefractive polymer (PVK : AODCST : EHCz : C_<60>), we pointed out that amorphous PR materials should possess high potential for the broad-band filter in the telecommunication wavelength. Moreover, the DBR-based device was actually fabricated with the typical material and the DBR response was successfully demonstrated. We obtained the reflectivity of 4% and reflection bandwidths of 5nm at around a wavelength of~1500nm.
