Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We performed preparation of two-dimensional anisotropic gratings with surface relief modulation in photoreactive polymer liquid crystals. The grating formation originate the axis-selectively photoreaction of the side chain groups by exposing to the linearly polarized ultraviolet interference light and subsequent annealing. By means of three-beam interferometry, the two-dimensional surface relief modulations consist of geometrical figure and two-dimensionally periodic anisotropic refractive-index modulations were observed.
