Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new label recognition system for photonic label switching using self-routing of labels by all-optical demultiplexers (DeMUX) and tree-structured switches. This system consists of DeMUX and address recognition unit (ARU). In the DeMUX, all-optical switches are controlled by a control bit of the input label and the label bits are separated. The operation principle is explained for a case that the number of label's bit is four. All the binary codes can be recognized with this system. We discuss the feasibility of the system by evaluating the scalability of the system, SNR and latency. As examples of the all-optical switch elements, nonlinear optical loop mirror switch and semiconductor optical amplifiers are investigated.
