Advanced Demodulator Implementation for DVB-S2 System(Components)

Abstract(in English) In this paper. we propose a design guideline of the main MODEM technique considering the system specification, channel condition and transmission scenario compliant with DVB-S2 standard. Especially, we employ the robust demodulation algorithm and the essential design factors applicable to under worst channel condition. We consider the various different transmission modes following VCM (Variable Coding and Modulation) and ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation) technique besides unicast profile, the enhanced frame synchronization scheme to reduce the acquisition time and modulation classification scheme. The proposed schemes are shown to provide a good trade-off relation between complexity and performance and are verified in detail their improved performances. Hereafter, it is expected that DVB-S2 system will be implemented by employing the advanced demodulator, successfully.
