Abstract(in English) An L-band SiGe-MMIC vector synthesis type analog phase shifter using a polyphase filter is described. A polyphase filter can divide a differential signal into two differential equi-amplitude quadrature signals over the wideband. However, the insertion loss characteristics are varied depending on the load impedance. In this paper, to obtain wideband four equi-amplitude quadrature vectors through a polyphase filter, the interstage impedance between a polyphase filter and a variable gain amplifier are discussed. The fabricated analog phase shifter has achieved a phase shift r.m.s. error of 2.0deg. r.m.s.and an amplitude r.m.s. error of 0.41dB r.m.s. for 32 phase states over 1.2-2.2GHz.
