Abstract(in English) | Optical sensor for simultaneous measurement of voltage (electric field) and current (magnetic field) utilizing Pockels and Faraday effects is realized. This sensor uses a single sensing element, which has electrooptic and Faraday effects. This optical sensor utilizes single quartz crystal for the sensing element, and measures voltage, current and power, simultaneously, setting the angles of the polarizers and quarterwave plates, properly. The quartz crystal is convenient because it has these two effects and is robust. In the report, the principle and the experiment are described. |
