| Abstract(in English) | We have reviewed presentations in the plasma display panel (PDP) sessions on SID '02 symposium, and reported outlines about the technologies we paied our attention. There were 32 of reports related PDP in total. There were 19 oral presentations in four sessions, 1) Plasma Display Manufacturing, 2) Plasma Display Efficiency, 3) Plasma Display Driving, and 4) Plasma Display Panels, and the other related two sessions, and there were 13 poster presentation. There were several suggestions about discharge gas and drive waveform aimed at improvement of luminous efficacy. With regard to the cell structure and the manufacturing technique, the suggestions provided partial improvement, however, the electrode formation method using inkjet-printing were remarkable, which might change whole fabrication. |
