| 抄録(和) | 本研究の目的は, 発話に伴って自発的に出現する話し手指向的な身振りが, 聞き手の発話理解を促進するかどうかを実験的に検討することであった.まず予備調査(n=11)において4つの身振りパターン(身振りなし/通常身振り/非典型身振り/矛盾身振り)のナレーション映像(刺激)を作成した.実験(n=64)ではこれを呈示し, 発話理解の違いを口頭再生と質問紙によって検討した.発話理解成績は通常身振り条件が最も高く, 身振りは自発的で指標されなくとも発話理解を促進することが示された.また質問紙から, 聞き手は身振り情報によって発話理解に影響を受けるが, 身振りに注意を向けることはあまりなく, その影響も意識しないことが示唆された. |
| 抄録(英) | The present study was designed to examine whether self-oriented co-speech gestures promote speech comprehension of the listener. Based on the pilot observation (n=11), we made four types of narrating videos (stimulus) which differed in gesture expressions : 'no-gesture', 'normal', 'untypical', and 'mismatch'. In the experiment, the participants (n=64) watched the stimulus video, and then their comprehension was tested by oral recall and the questionnaire. Results showed that the self-oriented gestures, if properly accompany speech, increased the listeners' understanding of the speech. Results of the questionnaire suggested that most of the listeners didn't pay attention to the gestures, although their speech comprehension was influenced by the gestures. |
