Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of important problems to be solved in target tracking is to predict an orbit of target such as ship or airplane which is observed by radar, optical sensor and so on. In the orbit prediction, the performance of the orbit prediction is subject to a velocity vector of tracking filter which is an initial value for the orbit prediction. For that reason, it is important to improve the precision of the velocity vector. In this paper, we propose 2 methods for improving the precision of the velocity vector. First method is that a recalculation of smoothing vector goes back to a several sampling from the present time. Second is that a filter gain of the direction of the perpendicular velocity vector keeps lower than that of the direction of velocity vector. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed through computer simulation. The results of the computer simulation indicate that the proposed method accomplished 50 percent reduction of the smoothing velocity errors compared with the conventional method.
