Abstract(in English) Four types of onboard processors for single-hop connection between mobile user terminals of satellite communication systems are proposed. Depending on the kind of access and control systems, performance and structures required for presence differ. A regenerative processor is required for single-hop connection in the in -band control systems and a general non-generation processor is required in the out -of-band control systems. A narrow band filter bank is required for SCPC (FDMA) system. The narrow band filter bank is not required for MF -TDMA system because characteristics of filter bank are mitigated. The regenerative processor for the SCPC systems is useful if it is necessary to take over present mobil communications system including current user terminals. Other system, which employs non-generative processor based on the MF-TDMA system, is able to connect many channels because of the low power consumption of the onboard processor.
