Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Light field rendering synthesizes free-viewpoint images based on interpolation of multi-viewpoint image data that are captured by an array of cameras. Assuming constant depth in the interpolation process causes focusing effect on the synthesized image. The authors have already proposed a method for detecting in-focus parts on the synthesized image, that is called "focus measurement method". This paper analyzes the relation between our proposed method and the traditional stereo matching based on frequecny domain analysis on multi-viewpoint image data.
