Abstract(in English) The author's research group has developed an SDR platform that consists of FPGA board, CPU boards, and RF boards. As for the software that realizes communication/broadcasting systems, software for W-CDMA, IEEE802.11a, and digital terrestrial broadcasting has been developed. The software consists of physical layer part and MAC/DLC layer part (for communication system). In this paper, the number of slices of FPGAs for communication/broadcasting systems is compared and the minimum number of slices to develop existing wireless communication/broadcasting systems is discussed.
