Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a novel configuration of a small and wideband planar inverted F-antenna which covers Cellular/PCS/UMTS/DMB services at the same time. The proposed antenna consists of a main patch with slant slit and L-shaped patch and occupies a total volume of 15×44×8mm^3. A wide impedance bandwidth characteristic is achieved by optimizing not only the gap between feed line and L-shaped patch but also the length and width of slant slit on the main patch which is excited by the modified CPW structure. The maximum gains at 850, 1810, 2030 and 2630MHz are measured about -1.04, 0.49, 2.31 and 2.26dBi, respectively. Good broadside radiation patterns are achieved for all four-frequency bands of interest.
