Abstract(in English) In this research, we examined a method to accelerate 3-dimentional image processing by using a FPGA device. We used a segment-based stereo image processing algorithm, and our hardware calculates the correspondence of segments between stereo images. A pipelined logic circuit which makes a comparison of the brightness, shape and direction of segments was developed. And the operation at about 100MHz was confirmed from the compilation result for Xilinx XCV2000E on an EDA tool.
