Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper addresses impact on the Internet architecture of GMIPLS protocols. In particular multi-layer path network control and photonic transport network control are discussed. Regarding the multi-layer path network control, traffic engineering in GMPLS-based multi-layer path networks is addressed. Electrical and wavelength paths are placed in a hierarchical manner in multi-layer path networks. Wavelength paths, which constitute a virtual topology for electrical path routing, are set up and/or tom down according to the change of traffic demand over electrical paths. Regarding the photonic transport network control, key issues on wavelength path control are addressed: routing and wavelength assignment problem and shared backup resource strategy.
