A Consideration of Road Information Model based on Urgency for ITS Roadside System

Abstract(in English) Safety driving assistance based on smart car and smart way is studied in ITS. Each assistance method is effective in the region that the traffic volume is big or small. However, since it is difficult that the traffic volume is divided in big and small clearly in real road, a car and a base station cannot judge the urgent information exactly by using each assistance method. And so, a new driving assistance method using both smart car and smart way is required to meet more safety driving assistance. First of all, a driving assistance mixed smart car and smart way, which are defined as the urban type assistance model and the province type assistance model based on urgency of information is proposed in this study. And moreover, the assurance method of urgency to compensate inferior urgency that will be generated under the influence of road environment when both models are mixed by using smart gateway that smart car cooperates with smart way is proposed. A proposal method and its consideration are discussed in this paper.
