| Abstract(in English) | An optical frequency shifter using a single-sideband (SSB) modulator can be contorolled by a rf-electric signal. The frequency shifter which can switch WDM channels is a promising device for the future DWDM systems. In this work, output lightwave spectra with phase and amplitude errors in the rf and optical circuits of the modulator were investigated by using analytical and numerical method. We also showed numerical and experimental results of high-speed optical frequency switching using the SSB modulator. |
