Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mode properties under the quarter-wave stack (QWS) condition in the Bragg fiber is similar to those of the circular metallic waveguides. This article presents the eigenvalue equations and the mode classification of hybrids modes in the Bragg fiber by applying the QWS condition to the eigenvalue equations derived by the asymptotic expansion method. Comparison of characteristics between the Bragg fiber and the circular metallic waveguides will be made about the eigenvalue equation, electromagnetic fields, cutoff, and so on.
