Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have established new switching architecture of all optical WDM network suitable for the application of video transmission. We have proposed new Wave-Band Routing and Assignment (WBRA) method which provides simple switching and high speed wavelength assignment. Assuming the environment without wavelengh convertor, our wave-band switching scheme is applied to several network topologies for performance evaluation. Then effectiveness and feasibility of this scheme are confirmed from a view of the number of required wavelengths.
