Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fiber Bragg grating(FBG) is highly prospective as a distortion sensor and the authors have been tried to develop a distortion monitoring system for tunnels. A field test of the monitoring system have started in Dec. 2001 at Seikan Under-Sea tunnel and is still kept going. This paper describes interim report of the trial system and experimental results.
