Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) All kind of living things has an effective life guard system against toxicants by inducing Gytochrome P450 (GYP) for metabolizing such chemical species. Some molecular types of super family of GYP are induced by environmental pollutant and some are strongly related to cancer development. In order to contribute to environmental assessment of pollutants and cancer diagnostics based on the in vivo sensing of CYP, the authors have intensively developed an optical-bio sensing system by using optical fiber sensor, that effectively detects fluorescent from molecular produced by a particular type of CYP. This paper reports about the recent development on the fiber-optic CYP detection technique, by using rat liver and benzopyrene as a carcinogen and 2,3,7,8-TCDF as environmental pollutant.
