Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a magnetic pressure welding technique for a terminal plate and an electric wire. When an impulse current from a capacitor bank passes through a flat one-turn coil, a magnetic flux is suddenly generated around the coil. Eddy currents are induced inside the plate on the coil. The wire is lapped over the plate with a gap between them. The pair of the plate and the wire can be joined both by the Joule heat generated in them and by the impact effect of the plate to the wire with magnetic pressure. Several pairs placed on the coil are also joined at the bank energy of about 1kJ.
