Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper introduces a hybrid automatic repeat request (ARQ) system using the rate compatible punctured turbo (RCPT) code and the Reed-Solomon (RS) code. The proposed encoder exchanges the RCPT code and the RS code each time the repeat is requested. In the case of retransmission, the proposed system can perform both the RCPT decoding and the RS decoding without changing the code rate. Simulation results show the proposed system provides higher average throughput performance than the systems with the single code and the system with the concatenated code under the condition of the same code rate.
