Abstract(in English) With the developments in robot technology, it is expected that robots can work in the same environment as the working environment of human. In such an environment, advanced robot vision systems with high performance are necessary for recognizing moving objects and obstacles in real time, and should be able to feedback the results to robot control system quickly. To realize such kind of novel robot vision system, a real-time robot vision system with three-dimensionally integrated parallel reconfigurable image processor chip has been proposed. The proposed reconfigurable processor can dynamically reconfigure its function, and has a scalable architecture for input image size. Therefore, it is expected that an advanced robot vision systems with high performance can be realized by employing image processing algorithms for robot vision in this parallel reconfigurable image processor. In this paper, we describe our proposed robot vision system and architecture of the parallel reconfigurable image processor.
